A car bomb killed nine people in the city of Peshawar on Wednesday, and injured 20 others.
The death toll in the blast that occurred on the street that led to the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan, including three young children.
The target of the bombing itself is still unknown. This is the third largest explosion near the town within the last week.

Mantan Wakil Ketua Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) Ramlan Surbakti menyatakan tidak setuju bila anggota partai politik diperbolehkan menjadi anggota KPU. Ketentuan mengenai syarat anggota KPU yang sudah ada, menurutnya sebaiknya dipertahankan. Sebab, penyelenggara pemilu semestinya bebas dari kepentingan politik praktis.
Ramlan menuturkan, sebenarnya aturan mengenai keanggotaan KPU yang sudah ada sekarang sudah jelas, bahwa warga negara yang menjadi anggota partai tidak boleh menjadi anggota KPU. Kalau pun pernah menjadi anggota partai, harus sudah tidak aktif lagi di partai itu selama lima tahun.
